Associate Marriage and Family Therapists

Job Types: Both Part-Time & Full-Time

Clinic Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm & Saturday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

We are now seeking AMFTs to join our South Coast Metro outpatient clinic, supporting our community's mental health needs. Collaborate with experienced therapists, gain clinical hours, and positively impact clients' lives. Candidates should share our passion for compassionate and ethical care. Join us in providing counseling for individuals, families, and groups, covering various mental health needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Conducts comprehensive individualized treatment planning and administers outcome assessments that explore individual risks and needs, life satisfaction, strengths, skills, and resources.

  • Responsible for maintaining treatment planning and accurately documenting clients’ participation and progress during treatment following STC’s policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all clinical services are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and provided in a high-quality manner, focusing on superior client service.

  • Responsible for ensuring that quality, cutting-edge services are always provided to clients, including maintaining quality clinical records.

  • Responsible for ensuring services reflect the cultural sensitivity of the community and awareness of the client's unique needs.

  • Responsible for all treatment services being provided ethically and legitimately.

  • Apply knowledge of trauma-informed care, attachment theory, family systems, and addiction recovery in treatment.

  • Maintains client records following HIPAA and adheres to all client confidentiality requirements and standards.

  • Maintain paperwork appropriately and promptly using electronic health records and the Agency’s Information Technology platforms.

  • Performs intakes and assessments, identifying problems, planning treatment, recording progress notes, and identifying discharge processes with clients.

  • Build and carry a caseload of at minimum 10-15 clients.

  • Engage in collateral communication when appropriate for coordinating care for clients.

  • Flexibility and availability to see clients during weekdays and evenings. Weekend availability is a plus but not required.

  • Participate in marketing/networking opportunities to promote STC's endeavors and yourself.

  • Ability to be flexible and grow with an expanding community-based agency.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a registered AMFT in good standing with the State Board.

  • Motivated to work with low-income and marginalized community members. 

  • Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of treatment modalities.

  • Engaged and service-oriented professional who can collaborate individually. 

  • Trauma-informed background and EMDR certification are a plus.

  • Prefer two years of experience providing services to the MH and/or SUD population.

  • Bilingual (Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Korean, Russian) abilities are a plus. 

  • TB test certification & COVID-19 vaccine record required.


COMPENSATION: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour (competency-based) 

  • Quarterly Merit Bonus after the development stage.

License/Certification: BBS registration in good standing or pending status (MUST)
